Oaks of Righteousness + Taizé
Oaks of Righteousness was founded in 2012 by Rev. Christina Hunter and Rev. Hanna Mudge. Through prayer and discernment, they felt a specific calling to minister in the area of North Troy.
Their ministry began with praying around the neighborhood and stopping by basket ball courts to hang out with the kids.
Five years later, Oaks now has their own building with spaces dedicated to café open-doors hours, a Sunday church service and chapels for prayer.
Rev. Christina Hunter, Rev. Paul Hunter, Shannon Ames, Steve Hasslacher, and myself are all current ministers at Oaks café open-doors hours (and YOU could be too!) The Hunters continue to have a heart focused on the community, with emphasis on providing kids a safe, Christ-centered place to spend time.
Most recently they started monthly Kabode Underground events, which consist of a Taizé meditative worship service followed by an Open Mic.
